Acrobat® Reader® installed on your computer, click on the Adobe® banner below, scroll down until
you see the free Reader® download. Follow the instructions for downloading, install
the software on your computer and happy reading!
Long version: e book Living distributes its e-books and
guides as PDF files. PDF stands for Portable Document
Format and can be read by both PC and MAC computers.
Your book will download as
a PDF file, for example "book.PDF." The "book.PDF" file can be
read by a free Adobe®
Acrobat® Reader®. You must have the latest Reader® software installed to read
PDF files.
Adobe®
Acrobat® is the software used by the US Government to distribute tax
forms on the web. Again, since you can read it in PC or MAC format and the Reader®
software is free to download, it has become the software of choice to
distribute forms and documents on the web.
Note: I remember reading this kind of
disclaimer when I downloaded my first e-book. I went from not understanding
why anyone would do this, to downloading the free software, to getting a
full developer's package in less than a year. It's one of those computer
things that no one really explains to you, until you need to send or
